The founders of Prospect Genomics include leaders in the fields of protein structure prediction by comparative modeling and ab initio methods, protein structure dynamics and refinement, the docking of ligands to proteins, and protein structure determination by X-ray crystallography. The company is integrating leading computational technologies, including those of the founders, to create a complete high-throughput software pipeline for in silico screening for suitable ligands of many proteins. Based on these technologies, Prospect Genomics offers a database of 3D-protein structure models (available now), small molecule libraries, and small molecule drug candidates with high probability of binding to the target proteins. Prospect Genomics will partner with Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Agricultural companies through access to the databases described here, as well as through specialist services in the area of protein structure prediction, analysis, and ligand docking. Prospect also anticipates partnerships with other companies involved in genomics, combinatorial chemistry and high-throughput screening.
